Engenuity's Non Linear Dynamic capability includes the analysis of coupled fluid structure interaction. The properties of the dynamic contact region between the fluid and the structure can be predicted and the stress and deflection results recovered.

Manufacturing processes such as pressing and forging, can also be analysed using this technique. Modelling the material flow within the forging process allows the final deformed shape and the residual stresses in the component to be predicted.

Potential sources of production defects such as voids or cracks can be identified and removed before commitment is made to production tooling.
