To obtain an optimised design for a wishbone suspension component on a new sportscar.

A typical double wishbone suspension is shown in the photograph. We are interested in the lower arm as shown in grey on the CAD model picture as this is the focus of the study.

The wishbone lower arm must be both lightweight and strong enough to withstand high cornering and braking loads.
